Overview
· Participates in assessment and development of educational programs to meet the needs of Respiratory Care Services and other healthcare providers.
· Identifies and validates the learning needs of all customers utilizing needs assessments, performance improvement results, and surveys.
· Reviews and revise all current Respiratory Care competencies.
· Develops and initiate new competencies as new modalities, procedures, or equipment are introduced to Respiratory Care staff.
· Acts as an Educational Liaison for Respiratory Care with Nursing, Medical Staff, and other clinical departments as well as Respiratory Care affiliate academic facilities.
· Provide educational support for Respiratory Care students, Medical staff, nursing, nursing students, and other clinical departments.
· Develop educational opportunities in collaboration with the Nursing Education to facilitate knowledge of all Respiratory Care therapeutic modalities.
· Develops, maintain and participate in the Orientation curriculum for new Respiratory Care staff.
· Assist in the organization of display table and educational posters for Respiratory Care Week.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent combination of education with a minimum of 8 years of previous Respiratory Care experience. Five years experience in Critical Care setting preferred. Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills.
